I wanted to start my ps3, if I press the start button the LED is turning Green, after a second Yellow and then it's turning off again.
I really need your help!
You can use the oven method for a temporary fix (no set timescale for life expectancy).
I recently used that method on a Phat model I had and it worked fine. Just make sure you apply fresh thermal paste and when reassembling the unit.
Next you'll want to bend the 2 plates that get screwed above the GPU/CPU a little for extra pressure following the heat being applied.
For a permanent fix, you'll have to get a reball.
Ether way, once fixed I'd look into cooking methods to prevent this happening again.
Things such as adding ventilation to the case (model depending) where your fans are located.
Elevating your console by using feet for better air circulation.
Additional fan(s) <-- self explanatory.
Hope this helps. There is a tutorial on here for the oven method which will give you time to recover any data from the console.
