(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So basically my PS3 has had it, constantly turning itself off, can't even power it up now, it's on for a split second and then turns off.

It's running rebug DEX firmware.

Now I have another PS3 on OFW which does have a few problems but it runs well.

Is there something I can take out of my jailbroke PS3 that I can put into my working one? I'm not totally sure where the firmware is stored on the PS3?

So basically is there something I can swap out of the jailbroke console and put into my OFW model?

I've stripped a few PS3's before so don't mind doing that.

Unless your OFW ps3 is 3.55 or lower, it will need to be downgraded with a hardware flasher.

Nothing you can "swap out" as the firmware that your DEX PS3 is on is stored on the mother board, in the bios nor/nand chip/s, so not transferable to a OFW console

Only way to jailbreak a console without a flasher is to have one on 3.55 OFW or lower.

Any higher than 3.55 you will need a downgrader, E3, progskeet, teensy etc....

No, this is not possible for many reasons... such as each mother-board is unique to it's individual components such as the Nor Chip. You can't simply swap and replace. If you want to learn on how you can downgrade your working system, you can click You must login or register to view this content. to find out. Other than that there is nothing much you can do...
