I am gonna soon get 3.55 ps3 and i want to jailbreak it!!! so i found out about 3.55 Kmeaw.

i was thinking to download and use 3.55 kmeaw on my ps3. But i need a tutorial from installing it and spoof it to 4.76 latest firmware!!!

but every video i find on youtube, they download first 3.55 kmeaw and then they download rebug jb wich i dont know what is!!! and then they spoof it to 4.76 but i dont know how to do this in the best way!!!!!

and what jb i should be using , because i want a jailbreak that has the best and most features on it!!!! so that it can install everything like all pkg files app home and more.... please guys help me!!!! i need a tutorial as soon as posible,, hope you guys can help.

Downgrading is outdated and old and only needed for mac rewrite access or remarrying blurays and bypassing the rsod to fix. Then the part that is skipped or ignored the most is the model you need. NOT ALL PS3s can be jailbroke, E3 ONLY SUPPORTS NOR MODELS

The most important part is the last slim 2501 has a manufacturing date on the black label , its best to get them before august 2010 to make sure they are even able to reach 3.55 firmware. If they can not reach 3.55 then they are not safe to downgrade, you can still copy the internal memory And hack the ones that have dont have the new security keys , using the sinesters app will let you know if that slim model can be jailbroken or holds the keys that makes the reason of 3001 and superslim non jailbreakable. The sinester app you can use to go straight to the newest rebug cfw 4.76 lite and then just use rebug 9.99 to change to a lower firmware to b able to convert or what ever you want to do.

i dont know mutch about jailbreaking!!! but my ps3 is slim ps3 CECH-2504A and i have checked how back i can downgrade and it says that this ps3 can be updated to 3.41 or later,,,, and 3.41 is belov 3.55 so that means i can downgrade right??!!

And i was just thinking after downgrade i will install 3.55 kmeaw and spoof it to 4.76 and finish!!!! cant i just do that??

that video is wery complicated!! because he is already on rebug firmware but i have to jb my ps3 first then maybe do that he does!!!!! but i am thinking why do i need to download rebug!!! what is the difference between 3.55 kmeaw and rebug 4.76? i will just spoof 3.55 kmeaw to 4.76 that might work!!

Since there are some models of the CECH-2504A that can be downgraded, this is what I would recommend you to do.

Put the PS3UPDAT.PUP in this following directory: /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

PS3 is a folder you would create inside of the root of the USB, meaning inside of no folders. Then inside the PS3 folder, make another one called UPDATE. After that, drag the PS3UPDAT.PUP file from the .rar into the UPDATE folder. Make sure everything is capitalized the same why I have it.

Next, plug that into the PS3 and go to System Update. Then press Update via Storage Media. Go ahead with the installation, it will end up failing and tell you a firmware. If it says that you need a firmware that is 3.55 or below, you are able to downgrade. But if it shows something like 3.56+, you cannot downgrade the PS3.

i know i did this!! with MinVerChecker and it showed 3.41 so i can downgrade and jb thats no problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i am wondering what cfw should i install on my 3.55 ps3 after downgrade?? because all videos on youtube they use rebug???? should i also do that??? and if yes wich one????? i need a tutorial so that i dont do anything wrong!!!!! from the start!!!!!

Its better to have the more uptodate cfw because homebrew apps needs the firmwares keys to run. So alot of newer firmware apps will not work and they quit supporting 3.55 spoofing since back in like 3.75 4.00 cfw times. So its just best to atleast have rebug 4.75 not 76 to get full access of working apps and more.

Plus games requiring higher firmware wont play in older firmware unless you have the keys updated for multiman and none of todays apps support 3.55 firmware to run games newer of todays or based needs of 4.20 or higher.
