(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have had a jailbroken ps3 for about 3 years, just recently the disk drive went up and stopped working, then it started to overheat. no matter what i do it always overheats and shuts off on me after about 45 minutes, also when it shuts off it doesn't just turn off normally it is like i unplugged it, the red light goes off and everything, so i have to press the power button twice (once to turn the red light back on and then again to turn the system on), i have downloaded Control fan utility and have it running full blast, i also had a standing fan blowing directly on it at all times. it is a very annoying and tedious situation. any help is very much appreciated.

sounds like your ps3 is approaching its death.

yep something that alot of ps3s do after a long time, my main ps3 atm has a issue where it doesn't like to turn on time to time and will ylod but i just pull out usb's and shake it turns on but only so long you can get away with it, think my power supply is giving out i keep forgetting to watch how the lights flash i think it was red light yellow light then flashing red lights but i'm probably wrong i'll look next time thought thats what i said 50 times ago
