My question is how do wipe my ofw hdd so I have to reinstall the software again in recovery so I may install drex rebug cobra 4.75 again on the new hdd for my cfw . thanks in advance

Do you have a SATA dock?

1. Put the new hdd into the ps3
2. Boot the ps3 into recovery mode
3. Select option "restore ps3 system"
This will format the new hdd to the ps3
You will then be brought to a black screen asking for your last syscall(the last cfw you had installed)
4. Follow the prompt to install your last cfw
