it just means that maybe the cid is unbanned..

Private CID = A CID solely acquired by one's self, used and known of by no one else.


Public CID = A CID you would find posted or given to the public, or one that one has been sold/given to more than one person. With many people sharing the same CID, it doesn't last long, and will get banned sooner because of so.

A cid is something that should be hidden and protected from anyone but yourself. So just think of it in that senese. You want a private CID that no one else knows of over a public CID that everyone knows about.
Although, just because someone SAYS it has a private CID, doesn't mean that is a fact.

A private CID is simply a Console ID which is not shared with other consoles. It is unique to that console only. Less consoles using the same Console ID lowers the ban risk. That is why Public CIDs get banned within an hour or so.
