Post: Need Help Storage is Corrupted! (CFW)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Guys so today I was playing on my CFW Ps3 its on 4.70.1drex and i had to go offline in a rush so i plugged my ps3 out from the wall when i should have turned it off by the ps3 button and when i turn my ps3 on i'm getting this message (The File system on the system storage is corrupted and will be restored )[/B] when i click that i get a screen when its restoring and it runs good but when it finish i get a black screen and nothing else is happing

Never unplug anything like that, its like just taking out your USB without following the correct procedure to ensure to data loss. Anyway, you need to access the recovery menu of the PS3. This is the video below, you'll need to click rebuild database...

thanks for the reply and i did this and im on a screen saying Preparing please wait. i'm not sure but im here for a while with this screen

My ps3 froze doing that now i got a black screen if i change my hard drive will that work?

No sure if it's corrupted, it may be. However, yeah consider changing it and seeing if that solves your problem...

This happened to me, unfortunately rebuilding database didn't work because it kept freezing. I had to restore the file system. You'll lose everything but it's better than not being able to use it at all.
