Per the PS3devwiki that error is a sd card error. either it is not seated properly in the e3, Possibly not formatted correctly. could also be that the front of the flasher is fully seated to the ckt board.
i got this error once and it was that i didnt have the card all the way forward in that super tricky little holder.

Is your SD card formatted to FAT32, and making connection with the pins on the clip?

Yes and yes I just recently realized that I've been trying to update my e3 flasher with all of the switchs down except the third on (dumb right?) but still I switched it to the first two down and the rest up I turn my PS3 on and then no blue lights come on

Trying to update your E3. When i did this i did not get the alternating flashing lights that it says you will when update is complete but what i figured out is if you have the update.bin on the sd card and flip first 2 down rest up, power up ps3. wait a sec, then check the sd card on your pc if the update.bin is gone e3 took the update. proceed to next step.

I have finally updated my e3 flasher thank you for the help but now I'm currently experiencing problems with my dumps every time I put them into the PS3 downgrade patch they say bad how do i fix that?
