Post: [Help Needed] Getting Back Online

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Problem
Ever since the OFW 4.70 update I've basically quit modding, and haven't modded since, because my console suffered an instant ban that I have attempted to unban, and to no avail. I've tried everything from changing my MAC Address, to my CID and nothing seems to be working. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. At first I was getting a simple error code that was something like 80010A06 (something like that), and then after doing what was suggested which was changing my DEX ITA to a D-REX REBUG 4.75 the error has no turned into a 801224... (something like that, error code). I'm not exactly certain what they mean, but a colleague of mine says that I've got to somehow spoof my DEX console to a CEX console, as that is what he did. Can anyone help me out? (If there is anything else you need to know, please by all means ask, and I'll explain to the best of my ability).

Console Information

  • ORIGINAL CONSOLE VERSION WAS A DEX ITA 4.50 SPOOFED TO 4.60
  • CURRENT CONSOLE VERSION IS A D-REX REBUG 4.78
  • CCAPI NO LONGER ALLOWS MY TO CONNECT AS THE FW IS NOT SUPPORTED (SO IT STATES)

IF ANYTHING ELSE IS NEEDED PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I WILL FIGURE IT OUT.. THANKS IN ADVANCE Smile

You can convert to CEX and DEX with Rebug. If you wish to change either your IDPS or PSID you can use PSNPATCH or any other homebrew that has this option... To change your IDPS through PSNPATCH follow this method:

Step 1: Create a .txt document

Step 2: Inside the .txt write idps= write your 32 character long IDPS here

Strep 3: Save the .txt as psnpatch.cfg

Step 4: Put psnpatch.cfg on the root of your USB...

Step 5: Plug the USB into your PS3 then run PSNPATCH

Step 6: Once PSNPATCH is running click "Square" on your controller and click "X"

Thanks. Do you think that alone will correct my sign in issue, and how can I fix the CCAPI issue?

CCAPI supports only some CFW, you can find which ones are supported You must login or register to view this content. on this thread. Also, no I don't think it'll fix itself. Could you give the error code since you've said you think it's this... Could you give the exact error code?

Thanks again. I'll try this procedure out now and let you know if I get through it.

I followed everything there, I just need to change my CID, but obviously the ITA manager no longer works for me. Is there a substitute for Rebug consoles? Considering CCAPI won't connect, but I'm going to attempt to bring my console back down to a 4.75cfw since that apparently works for ccapi.

Reinstall CCAPI, and make sure your IP address is correct. You can also set your console ID via WebMan.

I made the mistake of saying that my CFW was 4.75, and I meant to say my CFW is 4.78, I don't believe there is yet a CCAPI version that is able to work with anything beyond the 4.46CFW so I think regardless I'll have to downgrade to at least 4.46, and then I'll have to get Webman. Do you have a link of where I can get that, or should I just google it, and find it like that?
