Post: the system software cannot be run correctly, rebug 4.75.1 rex to dex
01-30-2016, 06:34 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi all, I had my ps3 on rebug 4.76.1 dex but found ccapi & psnpatch went yet compatible with dex so I went back to 4.75.1 & after switching to dex & reboot I started receiving this msg I've tried reinstalling rebug 4.75.1 via safe mode & reset console to default but neither works & still receive the same msg at boot. I'm a bit confused on the rebug Rex side of things but would my cex console now be dex? Any help is much appreciated cheers.

What is your console on, CEX or DEX?
You can open Rebug Toolbox and go to system information to check your target and lv2 kernel type.
Make sure to only use firmwares based on your target type.

1. Download and install You must login or register to view this content.
2. Install CEX or DEX cfw based on your target type.

The console is originally CSX but I did set the target to dex before the reboot so does that mean I need dex firmware rather than than the Rex I was using

I tried the rogero downgraded you linked for me but its giving me the same msg as the rebug 4.75.1 Rex firmware "no applicable update data was found" should i try rebug d-rex & will that mean I'm now stuck on dex?

If you are on DEX then you will need DEX or D-REX firmware. If you are on CEX then you will need CEX or REX firmware. Being on DEX and using CEX firmware (or vise versa) will most certainly cause some problems. So I suggest updating to the same or newer version of Rebug using D-REX if you are sure that that's what you are on Smile

Cheers fellas I downloaded the 999 rebug downgraded last night but haven't tried it yet & I'm also downloading the ofw 3.55 dex downgrader linked above as I set both target & lv2 to dex so I think it should be a goer. Is there a way to get back to cex from a full dex firmware though do I use rebug toolbox to do the conversion then reinstall cex firmware or is there another method I've got the eid root key and I'm pretty sure I have cex nor dumps hiding on my PC

Awesome the above downgraded worked target is dex but the lv2 is showing cex suprisingly rebug toolbox was still there & works in a limited capacity. Options on what I should do next would be great & thanks heaps to all above for the help its greatly appriciated. Cheers!!!
