I have been getting hit offline constantly from script kiddies with $5 web booters. I have purchased a dedicated DDoS protected server from PureVPN, and I have also purchased spyproof vpn, with a pptp login. I have tried wiring my pc to my ps3 but the connection always fails no matter what I do. My First question would be, Is there a setting or some sort of feature that blocks out ip sniffing? Cain/Wireshark etc? I also currently have a proxy running on my ps3, but apparently it doesn't work in game. My final question would be, is there a way to spoof my ip address from a homebrew application or debug setting? Network Emulation?

Any Tips for preventing Attacks?

I am sorry for talking forever, this is is very high priority as I host a lot, and being Modders, we all have targets on our **BLEEPING** heads.
