(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Saw someone posted this error and they reckoned the only way to fix was to reinstall the firmware..

Surely this isn't the only fix?

This started for me a short while ago. I can use existing users on my ps3, when it comes to "add existing user" from the sign up option, that's when it kicks out the error.

Any ideas?

I believe Reinstalling a CFW will still have all of your games and packages...

But isn't this a Sony error not a CFW error?

As many people are having this issue, I would suggest just waiting. It could be a Sony error.

I only ask because of reading this post.
You must login or register to view this content.

I'm just curious to know if anyone who had this issue, did it resolve itself? I don't mind waiting it out to save having to reinstall my CFW.

I'd contact Sony but they're useless -.-

Reinstalling your CFW will not make you lose anything...

All of your games will be there...

The reason I'm trying to avoid this is because I brought my ps3 ready setup as my PC is dead.
So for me to reinstall it I'd have to go and buy a PC/laptop. If it's something that's been seen to resolve itself, I'd rather just wait.

I get passed the timeouts and errors when signing in/creating accounts by:

1. Create the account at You must login or register to view this content.
You will still need to make the PSN ID on the ps3

2. Go to debug settings, Change "network settings for debug" from "dual settings" to "single settings"
or vice versa

3. Set a valid current CID

4. Add existing and try to get where you input the PSN ID as quick as you can.

I've had this all day now, I've managed to make a few accounts by singing up on the link you've listed, then from there moving to the ps3.

Once on the ps3, do the usual "sign up" then "use existing user". Once I enter the login information I literally have to spam X and O repeatedly until it works. Sometimes it can take upto 10 minutes.

I hope this gets fixed soon because it's tedious as hell! -.-
