You will need to downgrade in this case, since you are on a higher cfw than one you are about to install. That is, if you wish to follow these directions:

1. Download You must login or register to view this content.
2. Rename the file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP"(no quotes)
3. On a fat32 formatted flash drive, create a folder named "PS3"
4. Inside the "PS3" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE"
5. Inside the "UPDATE" folder, place the PS3UPDAT.PUP
structure should be:
fat32formattedflashdriveroot/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
6. Boot the ps3 into recovery
7. Select option "update system"
8. Follow prompt and install
9. Once you are on the downgrader, download You must login or register to view this content. and follow steps 2-8

You should now be on Rebug 4.65 REX

10. Open Rebug toolbox
11. Select option "dump eid root key"
Select yes, Console will reboot
12. Open Rebug toolbox
13. Select option "rewrite target ID in flash"

14. Select option "swap lv2 kernal"
select yes and yes for it to reboot.

15. Install a DEX cfw of your choice. like You must login or register to view this content. , by following steps 2-8
