What did you do to brick it?

I tried to install a eboot and i guess i deleted something. and I didnt know what to do so i factory reset my ps3 and i clicked cancel on it and it just turned it all black.

Boot your ps3 into recovery mode and reinstall your cfw.

He said it won't go into safe/recovery mode

Op, do you have access to another known working hard drive? I would try installing another and seeing if it will boot the recovery menu. There is not a whole lot of information provided..
You may have been messing with an eboot, but deleting or corrupting a game file will not brick your console. Something else had to have happened or was done to cause this.

As a last resort, you could try to reflash the console..

Just try removing the hard drive altogether or putting a new one in , you'll get an error and should be able to reinstall your cfw after reset
