Sounds too me like you either installed the wrong firmware or trying to install the wrong firmware. What CFW specifically were you on before you downgraded ? I assume your console is on CEX or was on CEX as well ?

it was an official sony firmware mate done the business with the e3 and it will only let me install ofw that's it I'm well confused

Hold on a minute? Are you downgrading a console with the E3 Nor Flashser or attempting to downgrade a Jailbroken console? Which is which? Since, if you're attempting to downgrade an OFW (Official Firmware) You'll need to firstly make sure your console can in fact be downgraded in the first place. What's the CECH-XXXX so I can check this for you?
