Okay so earlier today I don't know if it's the disc drive or what it is every time I would go to play station needed to do my set up and stuff for my jailbroke it would go to a black screen well then I soon realized that my disk that was in my disc drive wasn't appearing on my XMB menu so I don't know what's wrong with the PlayStation itself I haven't really figured that out yet but I got some help that is on the way so but if you can help me out that'd be great

Majority of the time, it's safer to have no discs inside the disktray. Are you sure the blu-ray drive is still working? May have to replace it.

If it will play cd/dvds and not blurays/games, then the laser is shot and will need to be replaced.


If it reads nothing, then it does not have the original(or a married) logic board(unlikely if it was working previously).
