I have a PS3 slim 160GB which was running REBUG 4.70 DEX.

I installed the new release from the rebug team 4.78.2 DEX, Everything went fine and loaded up fine, so I tried to use my ps patch but wouldn't work so went back to 4.70 DEX, installed fine and loaded up.

So I turned PS3 off then went to turn it back on and it comes up with *System Software Cannot Be Started Properly*

I can get into recovery menu but none of the options work, I've tried installing the CFW again but won't work! Even tried installing 3.40 OFW and 3.55 OFW as it asks for 3.40 or higher.

When I try installing CFW it comes up no update found and when I try OFW it says data corrupt. Oh and also tried rebug downgrader but doesn't work.

Every time I turn the PS3 on it comes up with that error message, even tried 4 different hard drives but still no luck.

I forgot to mention the PS3 was CEX but I converted it to DEX, would that file still work?

Yes, one of the downgraders should work

If DEX downgrader works, from there install a DEX cfw of your choice.
