Post: Huge pop ins in every game

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, everybody!

I have a problem with my PS3 which is a huge pain in the ass. Most games have huge pop ins. It's either textures or sometimes even dialog. This is an example I took back in January while playing TLOU: You must login or register to view this content.

It happens in every game I play, but not as bad as the screenshot I showed. I don't know what could be the issue. I checked the HDD's S.M.A.R.T status and it said it was OK.

Is this online or offline when this happens?

What are your Ps3 temperatures?

If connected to internet or not does not matter. I gave it multiple tries with and without using my LAN cable and even with and without logged into PSN.

My PS3 temps are: 65C CPU (webman fan settings) and about 70C RSX (I didn't measure the RSX).

Quick edit: I am also using Rebug 4.78.2 D-REX. And no, I don't use any other external programs to mod games. I only use DEX for fake save data owner.

It might have to do with anything from:
the firmware(its the latest so idk how stable it is, etc) Have you tried any others? Do you experience the same problem?
a full or weak hard drive(I know you checked it, but is it full or brinking full capacity?)
a failing or weak RSX chip that just cannot produce the graphics(Whatever the limit of graphics the RSX can produce: it will be closer to that, the cooler it is. )
a bug or a glitch in the game..
or corruption in some type of way
Some games are probably just buggy like that or something.( Does this happen when running a disc version of the same game or vice versa?)

Hope it helps. There is a lot to consider but it might help in trying to rule out the problem..

1. Yes, I tried other firmwares. From ferrox to habib and back to rebug.
2. The HDD is not full. It has 100 GB free. Recently I just formatted (quick. I should've done full to be honest) my PS3.
3. Could be.. But the textures only happen in games that are open world mostly. In wolfenstein the new order everything was normal and the same in street fighter iv. If the RSX was dying I think I would've seen some obvious issues.
4. A bug or a glitch? This happens in multiple games, so probably no. As I've been having them in many games.
5. Nothing has been corrupt. Even restored my file system a couple of times to be sure.
6. My Bluray laser is dead, so I have to use my HDD for games.

the rsx is to warm get your fan turned up
weban should be able to turn your fan up
get the rsx below 60 and you will see a difference

I am using webman fan controls. It's set to 65C. I don't know what settings I should use. At the moment it's minimum 25%.

I just realized that I didn't use reply, thus no one gets the notification for me posting.
