As Mudjugger has mentioned, CCAPI and TMAPI can be used to connect your computer to your PS3. They allow you to edit memory and access system information and functions, and are used in RTM tools. TMAPI, or Target Manager API, is an API made by Sony, and was leaked at some point in time. CCAPI is made by Enstone, a programmer part of the modding community, and it is a more preferred choice for general use. It is easier to setup and use, and works for both CEX and DEX PS3's, whereas TMAPI is only compatible with DEX PS3's. If you aren't familiar with either, CEX is a normal, retail PS3 firmware and DEX is a developer, debug firmware. Your PS3 is CEX unless you have switched. And if you are on CEX, then that obviously means that you need to use CCAPI. Sorry if I'm repetitive, btw. Kinda tired rn.
