I remember accidentally frying the HDD, but i replaced it and reinstalled the ita firmware, its been a while since I last fired it up so I dont know if the firmware for it was updated and hackers came out with a new way of getting online. If someone could please help me get it back up I would be very thankful.
You may not need a firmware spoof since on DEX, but
You should be able to use SEN Enabler
You must login or register to view this content.
1. put the .pkg on the root of a usb flash drive
2. insert the usb into the ps3
3. On the xmb, go to "install_package_files"
4. install sen enabler
5. Once installed, open sen enabler
6. Go to sen/psn options
7. Follow prompt to allow sen access
Once it is finished, it will ask if you want to reboot
8. Select hard reboot.
9. Once your ps3 restarts, On the xmb, go to system settings/system information and your firmware should match the latest sony OFW, which is currently 4.78
You are then free to sign in, assuming you have a valid CID.
Spoof CID/PSID if you wish.
Or you can change firmwares..
