(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I listened to someone about going from REX to D-REX Rebug firmware
I took my 4.70.2 and used Rebug tool box to swap kernel and rewrite the target ID to DEX Then I updated my ps3 with REBUG D-REX 4.78.2 Now I got 99% update loop and I couldn't go in Recovery so I decided to try using a dongle sadly I only shot myself in the foot cuz now before the loops start I got a red screen of death

Someone can help ?

at 99% I had error 8002F1F9

and why I decided to update because my remotes only worked while connected USB

and if the problem is REX TO DREX by switching kernel is the problem let me know

I might give something to the person who gets me out of this
BTW I got e3 card reader FAT PS3 ON 4.70.2 DEX kernel and DEX target type

Put your dongle and e3 card reader away. This problem is fixable without them.

Try to install one of these downgraders. One or both of them should work.

If you are greeted by the XMB after installing, great!

Download, install, and run You must login or register to view this content. on your ps3.

You are then free to install a cfw of your choice.

If not, from there install You must login or register to view this content.

Is your disc drive functional? It may have had something do with stopping at 99% while trying to install an update..

Your hdd could also be corrupt and need to be reformatted..

Your hdd may be corrupt. It might be worth trying to format it with PC or try another known working one..

There is also a method of removing and inserting the hdd while booting the console to get it out of this loop, but I forgot exactly how it is done..been a while..

Do a barrel roll!
Maybe bluetooth device broken? Try BT-bypass firmware. FSM on 4.xx is not recommended and has no use. so first exit FSM.

Exclude the possibly damaged hdd (original)

Insert one new hdd and let it format. You should then be brought to a black screen asking for your last syscall(last cfw you had installed)

from there, try to boot into recovery or install a downgrader from that screen.

I thought FMS would work cuz even if the Lv2dialog.self is not signed for 3.56+ I'm in cfw and it should run unsigned self mistake cuz now got RSOD

Weird thing I put another Hdd that was already working with that ps3 the ps3 boots and then shuts down (1 min between turning on to off)
Then I used pc to format (quick format) on the HDD that got the loop problem it didn't even ask to format the hdd to a ps3 format

Are you still in FSM or did you ever take it out of FSM?

You must format the hdd to fat32 if you are using PC.
