I try to find the game but it wont show up. So I tried to clean the laser/lazer in the hard drive (disk reader). and put it back together, and it still dosent work. what to do? but for now I took out the Hard drive again. and I just try to go into installed program and it still does give me black screen. how to fix it? I tried to go into MultiMan, Rebug tool, PSNninja. PSNpatch or what its called. and everything gives me a black screen Is there anyway to fix this? or is my ps3 fucked forever?


what I mean with Hard drive = The disk reader thing. idk how to spell things right cuz I suck at english. but thanks to whoever helps me. <3

You mean "disc drive", "bluray drive" or disc reader was just fine.



Put a dvd/cd in the disc drive. If it reads cds/dvds and not a bluray(game), then your laser is shot and will need replaced.

The other thing that comes to mind is that you may not be QA flagged, since I don't believe you can run homebrew on a non QA flagged console..

and with your disc drive now damaged maybe they are relative problems..

clean the laser with Q-tip & alcohol
and your getting black screen when launching homebrew/s because your disc drive isn't hooked up (drive dont have to work but it must be plugged it)

worse case scenario: the disc drive dont work, big whoop. get you a download copy from the web or pm for link

i would say your best bet is to open up the ps3, unplug and then plug back in the the bluray drive, the reason y your getting black screen is becuase if the bluray drive

I tired to clean the laser with alcoho, and it very clean now. and it dosent work when I plug it back.

but another question. Can I take out the harddisk from the jailbroken ps3 and plug it into a new ps3 (same console modell) and it will work fine. or do I need to get an E3 Flasher to do it?

If it is a model(i think just fats or maybe up to 20xxx series) with a logic board in the disc drive, you will need to swap the original into the new one.

The logic board is under the bottom casing of the disc drive. The original must stay with the console.
