(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i have a slim thats on dex and the blu ray doesn't work, is there any MFW's or anything thats on dex with bd fix or something so i can access rebug toolbox and convert to cex, i'd put my blu ray out of my cech2102a in it but when i reinstalled it last time i accidentally got it stuck on and can't be removed without damaging the drive so need a software fix or tip to get back to cex.

If you've been qa flagged you should be able to install any cfw..

but..here is You must login or register to view this content.

This downgrader has nobd bypasses so you can use applications. You can open rebug toolbox and flip qa flag on while on that downgrader. You should then see debug settings and you are free to install a cfw of your choice, nobd or not.

i didn't think the dex downgrader had bd bypass? even if i can get on the downrader how does that let me use apps once i'm back on rebug? or is it like the rsod fix(the method that didn't work for me)? with that i had to install a different hdd after doing Factory service mode fix then put old hdd back which permanently fixed it. i'm going off topic point is could you explain how it works if i'm on dex cause like i said i don't see it being patched still once i install rebug, as you can tell my knowledge of the ps3 sucks when it comes to these sort of things.

I have only done this on cex firmware, so I am not saying this will fix everything, nor that this exact downgrader will work for you, you may need to find a dex nobd bypassed downgrader if that one doesn't work.

I don't know the BARE technicalities of it, but basically when you qa flag it makes the ps3 think you have a married logic board (most likely of but one of the things it does). Thus allowing you to install a cfw (normally you can't update without married logic board intact or already being qa flagged, or by using a downgrader or bypass firmware.) afaik.

You can only qa flag on downgraders or 3.55 firmwares. When you are on a downgrader you cannot normally use applications. So how do we have both?

You use this You must login or register to view this content. nobd bypassed downgrader. This will put you on 3.55 (needed for qa flag) and has nobd bypass (to use application such as rebug toolbox, needed to qa flag)

I hope that helps!

basically im trying to get you so you can install any cfw. Then you can install a rebug REX, convert back to dex, then install a dex cfw of your choice without struggling to find nobd firmwares..

The bluray won't work if you are on like ITA at least that is what happened to me but if you change to a debug FMW it should fix its self so if you haven't already just downgrade or upgrade to a new debug FMW if you can and the problem will resolve itself 😁

i know what your on about but thats not the cause its got no drive due to a number of reasons i will not go though, i fucked up the mfw think and bricked my ps3 lol 3rd time ive bricked this ps3 but anyways i soldered in the cord for it to stay on i'm currently looking for a sd card reader or phone so i can actually unbrick my ps3 lol, i accidently choose the cex rebug option for something and it caused it to brick so yeah, flash fun, i think i'll install a e3 flasher so i have a duel boot that way if i brick a nor i can still use it that and if i brick the nor on the E3 it would be easier to fix in case of trying to get the DEX MFW to function correctly, i know theres eaier ways of doing it but i like to experiment even though i know 90% of the time i'll fail the first couple of times
