I have only done this on cex firmware, so I am not saying this will fix everything, nor that this exact downgrader will work for you, you may need to find a dex nobd bypassed downgrader if that one doesn't work.
I don't know the BARE technicalities of it, but basically when you qa flag it makes the ps3 think you have a married logic board (most likely of but one of the things it does). Thus allowing you to install a cfw (normally you can't update without married logic board intact or already being qa flagged, or by using a downgrader or bypass firmware.) afaik.
You can only qa flag on downgraders or 3.55 firmwares. When you are on a downgrader you cannot normally use applications. So how do we have both?
You use this
You must login or register to view this content. nobd bypassed downgrader. This will put you on 3.55 (needed for qa flag) and has nobd bypass (to use application such as rebug toolbox, needed to qa flag)
I hope that helps!
basically im trying to get you so you can install any cfw. Then you can install a rebug REX, convert back to dex, then install a dex cfw of your choice without struggling to find nobd firmwares..
