You'll need to buy an E3 Flasher to downgrade your PS3 back to 3.55 to jailbreak it.

You need to downgrade your console, or flash it to current cfw...you will need a flasher though. Depending on model E3, progskeet, or teensy...or pay someone to do it

i would say pay to get an downgrade service on ebay maybe around $30-$40

Yes you were just told by multiple people you need to either buy an E3 Flasher and downgrade it back to 3.55 to jailbreak it or send it to someone who will do that for you. Otherwise you're out of luck.

As the others said, unfortunately your system has installed OFW so now your system is like a normal PS3. Which will require you to downgrade the system via E3 Flasher.

Make sure in the future you have auto updates turned off ! as well as if your upgrading the CFW you have no game discs in the console as game discs contain a update data which will install if its not removed.

Theres been a few times here where people accidentally started the update process but cancelled it, left with black screen asking for firmware or something..


If you cancelled it you may still have a chance.
