GREEN LIGHT OF DEATH
So I did everything correctly when installing the E3 Flasher on my 7/2010 released CECH-2501A PS3 and correctly downgraded everything perfect without error.
I put it on REX REBUG 4.78.2 CEX but then decided to downgrade. It locked me at 4.78 so I had to rewrite the NOR chip, and again that went over perfect.
However I believe I broke the video card chip on my CECH-2501A PS3 because I cannot even get recovery mode to come onto the screen but everything turns on perfectly and the fan runs so I know for positive after many tests that I did not brick the PS3. It must have broken either the first time I took it apart and I broke it the rest of the way after I took it apart again, or I broke it taking it apart the second time. I know the HDD is perfect because I removed it and it works in other PS3 systems and on USB to SATA.

My question is that I would like to know if it is possible to take the video chip from the motherboard of a CECH-3001B model SLIM PS3 and attach it to the motherboard of the broken CECH-2501A SLIM PS3 to fix the
green light of death, and is this possible with any unit.
**ALSO NOTE that if you leave your PS3s on for about 10 to 15 minutes before taking them apart it will help the motherboard to come out easier because the thermal paste will be warm between the chips on the motherboard and the heatsink. This will help prevent any
GREEN LIGHTS OF DEATH!!!!

I am going to research myself into this and will try it when I learn as much as I can and will post more information to this article as I learn.
