Yeah if in toolbox under system info it says your Level 2 kernel and the thing under it says DEX you're good to go

Yes it says that =)
but why do all tutorials update it after? i watched modzlink video and he said something about it was still on cex, didnt undestand it and a lot of tutorials also use to update the ps3 system with dex. But i only did the toolbox stuff to convert it, swapped.

Nah that's bullshit i swapped myself so i'm speaking from experience
