So logged in, it updated and now my ps3 won't come out of recovery mode. I can't even download the 4.80 OFW or the 4.80 CFW v.1 someone posted on here because it keeps saying it's corrupt i've tried 2 different usb. formatted them and re formatted them, one of them i never even used for ps3 stuff. I'm guessing i need to take out the HDD and format it with my other ps3? or is there a trick... please say trick

If its now on 4.80 OFW then the only way to go back to CFW would be to downgrade with a E3 Flasher.

As like stated before, you updated to OFW. Meaning you're no longer jailbroken. Only way to go back is to downgrade, for now reinstalling 4.80 ofw should work. Re-download it and remember to safety eject.

You may still be in luck if you cancelled the update and that is why you are in recovery mode.

this is like the third post iv seen in 5 mins of people doing this, how do you update your CFW it says what your updating to before you click accept, a buddy of mine done the same, its just unlucky man
