(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just hopped on my PS3 for the first time in probably a year or so. It was working great, I hosted some BO2 ZombieLand and such and had fun. I had to go eat but left it on so the hosting continued.

I came back 10 minutes later to BO2 frozen. I turned off my PS3 and tried to turn it on with the controller...

nothing.

I turned it on and thought nothing of it, but now my controller wouldn't connect EVEN WIRED! I then realized I also had no signal!

Basically, no signal and controller won't connect (even wired...blinking red lights still). Any ideas? Tried different HDMI's etc.

Boot your ps3 into recovery, hopefully then your controller works to select options "restore file system" and/or "rebuild database"

Just reset your controller. There's a button on the bottom, you need something thin enough. Just hold it down for a few seconds and attempt to connect wired again.

It obviously has nothing to do with the controller if there's no signal :/

I turned it back on today and it worked for like 15 minutes, then froze and did the same issue.

Ah I misunderstood the issue. But now I know what it is, it's a pre-GLOD on it's way to YLOD. It's why after several hours it will turn back on for a while and freeze. Honestly, I had a system just like this and tried to repair several times. But it just kept coming back, repair is temporary. You're better off getting rid of it.

If you are comfortable opening your ps3 I would suggest you dust it out, change the thermal paste and try Dro's recommendations in recovery mode.
