(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Lets say i take a broken PS3 that can be downgraded (main parts still intact but has YLOD for example) and i switch some parts such as the motherboard, etc, and put it into my working PS3. Will it be possible to downgrade from there?

- Sorry if this is a dumb question lol
- Just asking

I don't know for sure, so don't quote me on it but I believe if all the parts fit and worked then yes. But I'm not fully certain and a system with YLOD is just not worth working with. Might as well get another.

My guess is that it would ask you to reformat the hard drive but it should work technically.

in case of ylod console it would depend on whether or not its the motherboard or another component such as the psu causing the ylod, if its the psu putting another psu with same output that fixes could help but thats only if your psu is not putting out around 12 volts to the pins, but if its the board changing parts will not work unless the other ps3 has say a bad part and is same model and you swap that but if the board is causing ylod you will either need to replace a component, or reflow the board or in some cases fully reball it , but it depends on situation, i don't know what models of consoles are nor do i know the state of them so it might work it might not depends on how you intend on doing it and the other factors,
