Basically I'm trying to make my PS3 play my music I copied to my PS3 to play while I'm playing games (similar to OG Xbox lol) I've tried a few things with no luck ******************************************************
So is it possible to pull this off on a cfw PS3? I'm on Drex 4.75 cfw. I have an option in debug settings that says "dummy BGM player" .... So I turned it on and still nothing lol
:note:
It did look like it was trying to play the song... But had a txt error saying "music cannot be played right now, will start automatically in a few moments"
And to be honest I don't think I've ever seen that before so maybe it's something new Sony added but I can't get it to work at all!!
Please help guys!!
Suggestions???
Thoughts??
Waffa
Ps
I know there are a handful of games that allow you to play your own music via in game by some means of a custom soundtrack (where you make a playlist and name it after the game) but ... That's only on certain games. I'd love to be able to just do it like old times and jam out while killing zombies lol plugging my iPhone into the turtle beach box via audio jack takes away the game audio, and id really like to hear both music and game audio in my headset.
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks again NGU
Got an idea. Take the param.sfo from the game and put on your computer. Now you'll need to download PS3Tools off aldotools' website. From there, there will be a file that allows you edit and view the param.sfo's contents.
You must login or register to view this content.
Open the param.sfo up using that and you'll see something similar as this:

Now go down to here:

Checkmark the box, then click save, close out, and transfer the param back to the game. In theory, it should allow music in background now.
