I'm thinking of letting go one of my PS3's. Which is better, CECH-2001B or CECH-2512A? In terms of overall performance, and of course the "Heat output", in other term which of the two is less prone to YLOD?

In terms of what?

If you are talking about a downgrade/jailbreak, go with the CECH-2001B as that is guaranteed to be downgradable while the CECH-2512A is not because you will need to install MinVerChk in order to find out.

There is no difference but the fan/heatsink assym. doesn't come over the NOR chip on 20xxx series so 20xxx series FTW.imo

Just imo because easier access to the NOR chip lol..Otherwise there is no performance difference or hardly a difference in design at all...
