Questions is do I simply install CFW then download BFH (I paid for it on PSN store), install the hacks and play? I heard something about I need a spoofer to trick PSN to think I'm on latest OFW?

I'd really love to get started hacking today if I could just get a to-do list.

Hmm, if it's on OFW, you'd need to install 3.55 cfw over it, such as 3.55 Kmeaw, Rogero, or similiar. From there, you can upgrade to the latest cfw such as Habib, Rebug CEX, Ferrox, among other firmwares. You will need to download CCAPI (both the pkg and the .exe) as a basic form of connection between your RTM tools and your PS3. It's advised to use homebrew such as Psninja and/or Psnpatch in order to disable syscalls and help to keep your PS3 safe from cid ban. Would not advise putting your main account on cfw.

As far as the BFH modding, you can't do it on psn store version as there are none. You'll want a BLUS disc version, which you can just pirate if you'd like.

Should just be able to install the cfw over it, like a normal update. It's been awhile since I jailbroke my 3.55, but I remember installing kmeaw over it, and updating to 4.60 Rogero. Now, you should just try updating to 4.78 Habib, which apparently can be installed over 3.55 OFW, if you don't want to waste time installing 3.55 cfw

Yes install habib. But try to get Psninja, Psnpatch, and perhaps Multiman from You must login or register to view this content. Multiman allows playing ripped (torrented, backed up) games. There are a bunch of other things you can on cfw, such as trophy hacking, watching movies/tv shows without cinavia interruption, modded comments, etc.
