Post: Cant swap LV2 kernel or change IDPS.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, so recently after facing some problems modding a game, someone suggested to convert from CEX to DEX as there was many more available mod menus for DEX.

I was on CEX rebug 4.78.2 Cobra and successfully converted to DEX. To go online, I realized I had to change my console ID (as I was receiving 8002A224 when trying to sign in) and attempted to use CCAPI 2.60 to do so. CCAPI was not available for 4.78, so I installed D-REX Rebug 4.75 instead and attempted to use CCAPI once again, only to find out I was unable to use any remote call procedures from my laptop, so CCAPI was not a viable solution and I had to find another method.

So here is my current problem, I then tried to use Rebug Toolbox to change my active PS3ID, however as I tried this, I received an error "Error occurred while searching for IDPS: xxx". I believe this was because the LV2 Kernel had changed and is now CEX.

On 4.78 I had swapped it to DEX and changing your active PS3ID is done by spoofing your IDPS in LV2 memory.

So no problem right? Just go back and swap the LV2 Kernel once again to DEX, but when I try this, I receive "Incompatible firmware version or an error code occurred". Doing some research, people receive this error from not having an up to date rebug toolbox version, however I have tried 3 versions including this latest.

Sorry for all the information, just wanted to give some back story... Maybe i'm just stupid and I've done something completely wrong... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Matt.

You are getting that error cuz you need to change your region to cex. Rebug toolbox>change active ps3id>Use EID5(cex).

Maybe you tried this already and I missed it.
