(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I have a cech 2501a that I am trying to downgrade. What I did was put the e-3 flasher on the nor chip, updated e-3, took 2 dumps and both were bad dumps with errors. I did alot of reading on what to do. Someone reccomended using nor auto dump patcher v0.01, so i used that tool and everything seemed kosher. So I used the patched bkpps3 and installed. Reassembled.....problem is when I power on now, green light is on, beeps turns red then powers off within 5 sec! Can anyone tell me if I just toasted a mint clean ps3, or is there something I can do to try to save it? Thanks in advance!

When you flash a bad backup to the ps3 and restart it, you will receive GLOD.

You can fix this by flashing a good backup to the ps3, if you have one..

I do have a good back up, but how do I make it stay on long enough to flash the good backup?

I'm not sure that it is glod. From stand by mode...red light when I press power light turns green, fan starts then beeps then light turns red and shuts off with no red stand by light. The console was fine before flashing. Maybe cpu-gpu clamps are weak? MEGALELZ

If the console won't stay powered on, you can try to solder a wire from the tristate to a ground. This will power the console enough to flash a good backup to it.
