After you updated your e3 flasher, the leds should dance left and right to let you know it is ready for work.

Verify your SD card is formatted to fat32. Not force formatted with an external software..

To pull backups, all switches down and 3rd (backup) switch up

Are you getting an error on the e3 flasher while attempting to pull a backup?

1. Put the "update.bin" on the root of the sd card (you should use the samsung update for e3 flasher..)
2. Install the e3 flasher to your ps3 and the sd card to the e3 flasher
first two switches down, the last four switches up
3. power the console on and the e3 flasher's blue lights should illuminate
4. Give it a minute and power the console off

with the switches reset to do a backup, the blue lights should dance left and right
