It will buy a Rebug 4.80.1 ps3

Basics would be:

- Never use homebrew signed in
- Remove discs when updating, to prevent ofw.
- Clear history

- No, not necessarily just don't be signed into PSN.

- Yes, any discs in bluray drive.

- Yes, PSNNinja fine to use. Only choose options 1, 2, 3, and 5. Then exit.

- Depending on what CFW you will be on and if you will be on CEX or DEX, a spoofer may be required. You say you will be on 4.80 Rebug, so no you will not need a spoofer for either CEX or DEX.

Additional: CCAPI, an app used to connect tools and mod with RTM's and such doesn't currently support 4.80. I suggest you downgrade to a lower CFW, maybe 4.75.3? It's very stable. Also, brand new Rebug releases tend to be buggy at times, so for the sake of having issues I recommend you go to a lower CFW.

What are you planning to go to after downgrading to 3.55 OFW? Do you want to go to D-REX?

If you have Toggle QA installed then you should be able to go straight from 4.80 to 4.75 without any issues. If it doesn't read through XMB, then try Safe Mode. Otherwise, you will have to downgrade to 3.55 and then back to 4.75. But I'm pretty sure it will go to 4.75 no issues as Rebug has a Toggle QA built-in feature for their own firmwares. Any CFW 4.70+ on DEX will not need a spoofer, CEX will though unless on the latest firmware.

You don't need to downgrade. You can switch to DEX straight from 4.80 CEX and then you can use a 3.55 DEX Downgrader and after that, you can go to Rebug 4.75.1 D-REX.
