I have a problem get the latest PSNPatch Plugin (v2015 11a) running on my 4.80 Rebug REX converted to DEX.

As soon as the console has restarted after switching the LV2 Kernel to DEX the console freezes. I think it happens when the plugin starts to load itself at start-up.
In CEX Mode everything is fine and is working perfectly.

Is there a way to fix it, or should i just downgrade to 4.75/4.76/4.78 REX?

ok so. i installed the PSNPatch plugin, then i went to rebug toolbox. dumped EID root key and flashed Target ID. the last step is to swap the lv2 kernel to dex. that step needs a console reboot. after that reboot my console freeze if its in xmb. it just happens when the psnpatch plugin is installed, without that plugin i got no freeze.

So it freezes on boot each time?

Try to access recovery mode.

i dont want to know, how i can get my console to boot again :-) thats already done.
i want to know, how i can fix the problem with psnpatch in DEX mode, that i can use it!

Not so sure if you can, maybe it doesn't support 4.80? But if you can't even boot up the system without freezing then we need to fix that issue first. Here's how to get into recovery mode:

1. Turn off your PS3.

2. Hold down the power button and wait for your PS3 to turn on and off.

3. Once it has turned off, hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps.

4. When you hear the 2 beeps let go of the power button.

5. Plug in your controller and press the PS button.

6. The Recovery menu should be on your screen now!
