You'll need to buy a device called an E3 flashed from eBay. They range from $50-$75.

Yep as other says you'd need an E3, if it was a slim at least. You'd retrieve the CID from the nor I believe.

You can find broken ps3s everywhere for dirt cheap in all kinds of conditions to vary the price. It is the best way to acquire 100% private CIDs.
