If it's the same then yeah that should work so long as everything is connected correctly. But you're better off just getting another jailbroken PS3, if you own one.

As Christian said it IS possible if it's the same but you really are better off just getting another CFW PS3 if at all possible as that'll save a lot of work but it's your call

Why wouldn't you just use the ps3 that is working, why do you need to swap the motherboard? Is one jailbroken and the other not? You won't have your jailbreak if you swap the motherboard, you will only have basically the same ps3 that was sitting there working in the first place..

Also, on fats mostly, the wifi board is married to the mobo and also the disc drive, so those must stay with the mobo it came with, otherwise you will need to remarry and idk if you can remarry wifi boards so if you don't have all that, then don't even bother. Simply replacing the motherboard will not work out..
