Post: PS3 Bricked E3 flasher
05-23-2016, 12:03 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, I have PS3 slim model CECH 2001A it was send to me from a friend that attempt to downgrade the console with the E3 flasher but ran into some issues. First issue was when turn console on it shut off 5 sec later with red flashing lights along with 3 beeps. He doesn't have original dumps so, he attempt to solder a wire to the NOR_TRISTATE on the motherboard then to the SBE point.

But when he turn plug it up it didn't show no power, notice that wire wasn't quite connect to the NOR Tristate and SBE point. So, he send the console to me and I took a look at the motherboard and the NOR tristate point is damage and the silver solder point is gone and then one of the SBE point on motherboard is also gone their is like bubble up cloth on the NOR and SBE point. So is their another way to unbrick the console I read that you can Solder a wire from SBE point of e3 strip to the tristate point of the ps3 motherboard but how though if the NOR tristate point is solder point on the motherboard is gone?

This is picture of the PS3 Slim Model CECH 2001A Motherboard of the damages:

If you don't have any good dumps there is no point.. The shutting off is either from YLOD(most likely fatal from overheat or short/damage), or he flashed a bad backup to it (fatal unless you have a good backup to flash back to it)

But, if you want to get to the tristate and mess with it, you will need to follow and expose a trace and solder to it, or find another point that it leads to..

The console bricked due to shut off during flashing or he made a mistake and shut it off. I'm going guess try clean the motherboard up and then make a solder point where the Nor Tristate use to be before it got damage. But their only one NOR tristate point and several SBE points on the board.

No, because NOR Tristate point on the motherboard is damage and that solder point is gone. My problem is how can I solder a wire to that NOR tristate point if solder point is gone? I know on the motherboard their are several solder points for SBE, their at least 3.

Different points for the SBE? I know their is several points for that. But for Nor tristate point their is only one point, well as you can see in the picture that point is damage and gone from the soldering. And that mess is when he try to solder i guess it got bubble all up and dry up from soldering...

the points you gotta solder to are not damaged the damaged point is on the other side, also you should have practiced before trying to solder now you may get the ylod if you're unlucky, if the points are not bridged and all points are there but installation type on it and you might need to solder some things on to fix any flow points on the board you may have destroyed though those are not easy to fix if you have damaged them if at all. as long as you didn't damage the lines the data flows though you'll be okay
