Is this a CEX console?, i think I only know of CEX method if you are not qa flagged..cant promise it works the same for DEX

1. You can/may or may not need to first install You must login or register to view this content.

Verify your are renaming the file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" (no quotes)

Verify your folder structure is:
fat32formattedusbflashdriveroot/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Use the rightmost usb port of the ps3

Once you are there(or maybe not and you didn't need to)

1. Install You must login or register to view this content.
2. Once on the Nobd downgrader, open Rebug toolbox
3. On the far right, go to Toggle QA and enable it
4. Select option Restart system
5. Once restarted, you should be able to go to the XMB, the bottom of the second column from the left, and press (L1,L2,L3,R1,R2,DpadDown altogether) to bring up the debug settings

If they have popped up, you are good to install a (NoBD) cfw of your choice

GL! let us know how it goes

Yea I didn't realize you are DEX sorry. The method I provided only is working on CEX. You will have to do the same but with DEX downgrader and NObd downgrader to QA flag, then you can install a (NObd) (DEX) cfw of your choice.

I can provide the downgrader but I'm not sure of a DEX downgrader with NObd bypass that you will need in order to QA flag, if your console is not already.

You must login or register to view this content.

If your console is already QA flagged, debug settings should pop up with the button combo, under network settings. If they come up, then you are good to install a (DEX) (NObd) cfw.

What error do you get? Have you tried changing that one setting in debug settings from BD Drive to USB. Then have USB plugged in.
