I thought this was no big deal because it usually states something like that when I freeze and reboot. I Am Stuck on 18% for like an hour now. I did my research found nothing! ill link a pic <3 . I'm on the 3.55 dex downgrader because I soft bricked and this is what fixes it.

Are you currently stuck in the rebuild database loop, or are you sitting on the xmb of DEX downgrader?

Remove hdd, format it (preferably format on pc BUT can also put hdd into another playstation which will automatically format it when switching on)

Put dex downgrader on usb, then reinstall CFW after putting formatted HDD back into console

Should solve this issue

if it doesnt work try another known working hdd..

I find formatting the HDD using another system is alot more simple, easier, and safer to do. Sometimes a PC format doesn't fix it for some reason, so if you do own another system just stick it in there and format. Then reinstall the FW on that system, not HDD. After you can plug it back into it's original system and reinstall a CFW and format again. Should work after that.

Another way:

1. Boot ps3 into recovery mode
2. Select option "restore ps3 system"
this will format and wipe everything
when its done you will be brought to a black screen asking for your last cfw
3. reinstall your cfw or a downgrader

if it doesn't work, then your hdd took a dump

If none of the solutions resolve the issue, you might want to restore the system before trying a new HDD.
