A device called an E3 Flasher is what you would use and if you use the CID on both and your OFW gets Console banned then it's fucked so keep that in mind.

Yeah you definitely don't want to use a CID from your own OFW PS3.

Just buy one from someone then if/when you get banned then your OFW PS3 wont be fucked.

If it is on a lower firmware than 4.70, you can get the CID without downgrading it. Otherwise, you will need to flash it.
