I was reinstalling my cfw when my ps3 randomly turned off. Every time i try to turn it on it turns back off after 3 seconds and there is no light. I tried another PSU on it and it did the same thing. Please help me i dont feel like buying another ps3.

It could be the space you keep your console..You should keep the ps3 in an open area with plenty of space to ventilate, like a flat table or desk, rather than in an enclosed space..

Always keep an eye on the temps, if it's hitting high 70c*s, time to replace the thermal paste so it doesn't overheat. This will give a lot of life back into the console, but only if you do it routinely as maintenance.

Sounds like it has the YLOD due from lack of ventilation.
