Looking to buy a ps3 and jailbreak it to fix trophy times and hack trophies. I have seen one site with a CFW for OFW 4.80 but cant validate it to risk banning a ps3. Does it indeed need to be a 3.55? If anyone could give me a great set of links to read up on I'd really appreciate it.

Theres no way to install a cfw unless you are on 3.55 or below so any site/anyone that says you can install cfw on 4.80 ofw or some stupid shit like that is lying.

You're best bet is to try your local Craigslist/Kijiji and if there's nothing there then there's always eBay.

Trying to find which links now to get sorted on doing my own timestamps and dead online games is what Im after or a great video on doing this stuff would be great to help get me started.

I would focus on getting a jailbroken PS3 then worry about trophies.

when you do finally get that ps3 make sure to do plenty of research on how to avoid bans/detection. nothing is ever guarenteed but being careful is never a bad thing
i use PSN Patch 2015.11/A [stealth version] and PSNinja_v4 before signing in to disable syscals and wipe history. and i also use the latest WebMan for memory allocation and fan control. dont ask what all that means as i dont have a clue but its worked out well for the last 2 years lol
and if you buy a ps3 that youre unfamiliar with you should replace the thermal compound but again do some research about it before you dive in its really easy to do but also kind of easy to mess up
