I would get a slim as the FAT'S tend to overheat a lot easier but GTA shouldn't freeze that much if at all.

i would probably go for a slim lol the FATS are quite old tbh, but if u get one make sure all the dust is cleaned out and if possible have the thermal paste replaced to make sure it is running at optimal preformace

Well it all depends on both the systems condition and what specific mods you are using.

Freezing comes with modding
modlifeJust make sure the console runs healthy and if its a fat make sure it's quiet..if its loud id just let it go man..Don't get jipped into buying a pre ylod ps3.
