But before it turned off I noticed that I couldn't hear the PS3 fan on or I could feel it...... Does anyone know what to do?

I think it's a coincidence that it happen when it did. Sounds like your system overheated. Soon to get YLOD.

Be wise when trying to run the console.

Change thermal paste (arctic silver 5) and hope for the best. If it does not work, the console will need a reflow, a reball, or to be replaced.
