Changing the motherboard would rid you of your jailbreak.. You would aslo need to bring over the disc drive and wifi board (if its a fat) (youd basically be getting a new ps3..)

You are overheating and should be wise when deciding to run the console until after repair.
Change thermal paste (use arctic silver 5 only), and if it doesn't run after that, the console will need a reflow or a reball, or to be replaced (as in just get a new jb ps3).
