(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); okay so i've known about linux in the ps3 as long as its been around and know that the ps3 have been used as linux servers in the past so my question is, how well would it work as a server, and what type of server would it be operate for if can be used, example, say you wanted it for a low traffic, private uses how effective would it be and would it still need to connect to a master server? or can it be used as its own server. basicly what can i do and not do? best know before i try anything with it cause i've never experimented with this or linux so would make for a good start if suitable i have a few consoles i don't use due to issues with them that would be suitable to learn to use basic linux functions if worth while, i know this is old but i never looked into it in the past, sorry for nooby question.

PS3 only has 256MB of ram, so your experience would be pretty awful.

i know i have a computer i can use for it but i don't plan to do anything serious with it at all just see if i can use to run server code on something that i don't want running on my computer, i don't know much about linux but messing around with smaller stuff before doing more serious stuff is how i like to learn things
