(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello everyone on ngu, im in a bit of a pickle i am new to downgrading only done about 3 ps3s i was in the process of trying to get a dump on my ps3 slim, whilst i was doing this the fan kept getting faster and faster and eventually turned off and gave ylod . I have checked all connections seem good the only thing i didnt do at that stage was replace the thermal paste which i normally do once i have completed the dumps and i am putting it back together.

I have tried reflowing but no luck

Anyone have any paths i could try it would be great

Thanks in advance NGU

You took dumps without the heatsink and fan assembly connected to the chips? Ouch.. You may have overheated the console..or the flash memory got corrupted during flash..

The only thing I suppose you could do is solder a wire from tristate to a ground. This will keep the console running enough to either grab a dump and see if it is corrupt, or to try and flash a good backup(if you have one) to the console. remove the wire and if it starts, great. If not, the console has suffered damages from overheating and will need a reflow, a reball, or to be replaced.
